I’m from a small coastal town where life revolves around the ocean. Fishing, surfing, and lifeguarding keep me connected to the ocean and how it impacts my community.

That connection has inspired a lot of what I do - I started Dunchick’s Dock, a seafood co-op that supports local fishermen and food pantries - I’ve been a Paddlers for Humanity volunteer since I was 6 years old - and for the past three years, I’ve been researching ocean sustainability with Dr. Milan Curcic at the University of Miami.

All of these experiences tie back to the same idea: using what I love — the ocean and my community — to make a positive impact.
